New B4 and B5 engines now standard

The entry-level B4 delivers 194 horsepower while the B5 offers 247 horsepower. Although on paper this may seem less than the previous T4 and T5 engines, in reality both powertrains are assisted by a 48-volt hybrid system that can provide extra boost when needed so ultimately, the new engines deliver even brisker performance than the outgoing powertrains. On the other hand, the new engines are significantly more efficient with a fuel consumption rating that is improved by over 10%. In other words, you get better performance with better efficiency.
Moreover, the XC40 provides up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity, something you rarely see in this segment.
Light exterior refresh and more technology
